READING AND DISTRICT AMATEUR RADIO CLUB. 2010
Course commences
at The Pavilion, Woodford Park Leisure Centre, Haddon Drive, Woodley,
Reading, RG5 4LY.
Course Dates; ???????
The price will be £73 approx, inclusive of all costs. You may already have the
course book, in which case a reduction can be made. This is essentially a
practical course which will be great fun.
Early in the course, you must start to build your project kit and make it
work. This is a test of
practical skills, such as drilling and soldering. We will help you with any
problems and bring along some test equipment. One suitable project is the 80
metre Colpitts VFO described in the Intermediate Licence Manual on pages 32
and 34. We have included £10 to buy a kit of parts. We can bring some tools,
but your own would be useful.
The presentations will build upon the Foundation Course you passed, but we
shall proceed faster with three topics a night and you will need to do some
building of your project at home. Topics will be presented by members of the
Club, under supervision of Registered Instructors.
