Colin's Letter to the Members for their support
Gentlemen...Thank you for your superb participation in todays event at the Museum of BerkshireAviation. You got the name of the Club out there, and into Europe and worked some96 Stations on HF and some 20 VHF/UHF. I haven't done the stats but will checkcountries worked as well later. We even got Vin, the Club Chairman on the Mic.!!Thank you for your efforts at actually erecting the Station and tearing it down after. It definitely took less time taking it down.!! For the M6 and M3 troops, it was greatexperience handling pile ups that otherwise would not have been gained in normaloperations and Eric and I were really impressed at the superb way in which you roseto the challenge. Definitely some rising stars there. One DL Station even commentedthat he had persevered for half an hour to get GB2RD in his Log.! Thanks also to Denis,Lorne, Wally and Sergei for unstintingly giving up their Saturdays to erect the VHF, HF and4m Station offering advice, and and staying till the end and helping us ensure the legalitiesof Supervision were there, and to the Committee Members who gave us Moral support.I hope you enjoyed it as much as Eric and I did, and hope you will be able to join usfor Museums on the Air in 2010, some time in June....date TBA. It was an unusualQTH and was definitely different.! If I have missed anybody, my apologies.73'sColin M0XSM
